Real excitement over this coming Sunday at FBC of PB

We have several big things planned for Sunday, September 11, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Port Bolivar. Come and join us for a day of remembrance, fun, food, fellowship, and teaching from the Word of God.

Back to School Daze (wear what you might have worn to school back in the day). Prizes will be awarded for best costume for men and for women. Small gift for each student in attendance.

Remembering 911 - A tribute and prayer remembering the Ten Year Anniversary of 911.

Grandparents' Sunday - Bring your grandparents or your grandchildren.

Lunch in the Fellowship Hall following the services. Great meal, free of charge, served to all guests and members.

Ladies Hat Luncheon Good Success at First Baptist Church of Port Bolivar

The ladies of First Baptist Church of Port Bolivar were treated to a wonderful Texas style fish fry prepared and served by the men of the church in honor of Mother's Day in the month of May. A good time was had by all who attended.

Each lady was encouraged to decorate and wear a hat of their choice. Jerrie Sue Kerr took home the 1st Place Prize while Feather Shaw's daughter, Debbie Hughes won 2nd Place. All of the hats were certain to draw attention and be the envy of the peninsula.

The men of the church, including Pastor Dennis Allen, will be treated on June 18th in honor of Father's Day Month.

Good news to report...

Good news - Feather Shaw of Port Bolivar has come through surgery well and is now in recovery. All initial tests report no cancer. Drained and removed the large cyst, scar tissue, and her ovary. The family appreciates the prayers and concerns of so many. Debra will report more later in the day.
